NMMRA Board of Directors
HealthInsight New Mexico (formerly NMMRA) is an Albuquerque-based, not-for-profit, physician-sponsored organization. Its 12-member board of directors includes statewide representation from a variety of health care settings/disciplines as well as non-health care backgrounds. Ten of the directors are elected to three-year terms, with one-third of the elections occurring annually. With our recent affiliation with HealthInsight Management Corporation (HMC), two directors are annually appointed by HMC. All HealthInsight NM directors must be residents of New Mexico and have a cap on service of six consecutive years.
A three-tier mileage approach is used in determining compensation for directors for participation at full board and Executive/Finance Committee meetings, generally held four times per year. Based on distance traveled, directors receive between $200 and $500 per meeting attended.
