The Albuquerque Coalition for Healthcare Quality: Improving Quality and Equality in Health Care in Albuquerque | click here |
Aligning Forces for Quality (AF4Q) is the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's (RWJF's) signature effort to lift the overall quality of health care in targeted communities, reduce racial and ethnic disparities, and provide models for national reform. In Aligning Forces communities across the United States, teams of stakeholders representing the people who get care, give care, and pay for care are working to rebuild health care systems. Albuquerque was designated an AF4Q community in April 2009. Albuquerque joins 14 other communities across the country and is the only community in the Southwest to participate in this endeavor. The AF4Q initiative in Albuquerque is led by NMMRA on behalf of the Albuquerque Coalition for Healthcare Quality, a coalition of hospitals, health plans, primary care physicians, nurses, consumers and employers working together to address health care quality in the Albuquerque community. As part of AF4Q, the coalition aims to: • Increase awareness of health care quality • Increase the use and understanding of publicly available quality information • Support the roles of consumers and providers in achieving high quality, patient-centered care To learn more about this local initiative, please visit the Albuquerque Coalition for Healthcare Quality Web site at www.abqhealthcarequality.org.
