Continuing Medical Education (CME) Application
The New Mexico Medical Review Association (NMMRA) is an approved provider of CME credit accredited by the New Mexico Medical Society (NMMS), which is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). CME approval requires the program to be directed at physician education. CME consists of educational activities that serve to maintain, develop or increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance of the medical profession. The content of CME must be evidence-based and conform to generally accepted standards within the basic medical sciences.
Those interested in submitting a CME program application to NMMRA for consideration must complete the appropriate CME application packet for the type of program being offered: Live Course, Regularly Scheduled Series or Enduring Material (please see each section below for definitions).
The necessary forms are found in the CME application packets (available in Word or .pdf formats) that can be downloaded, completed and sent to NMMRA (via e-mail, mail or fax). The application packets contain instructions, forms to be completed for approval before the CME program is conducted for credit, template materials that can be customized for use during the program, and processes that should be followed to ensure that the program meets recognized standards of CME. Links to Forms E and F, which must be completed for each presenter, are also provided below (a copy of Form F: Faculty Disclosure must also be signed by each presenter).
Please review the entire contents of the CME application packet before completing the forms. Submit completed forms in hard copy by mail or fax, attention: CME Committee, 5801 Osuna NE, Suite 200, Albuquerque, NM 87109, or fax to (505) 998-9899, or attach completed application to an e-mail and send to cmecoordinator@nmmra.org. If you have questions about the completion of these forms, contact Courtney Overton, NMMRA CME coordinator, at (505) 314-9013 or by e-mail at coverton@nmmra.org.
