Date: May 31, 2008 The New Mexico Prescription Improvement Coalition (NMPIC) is pleased to host a make-up session for participants in its Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Collaborative who were unable to attend Learning Session 1. In this half-day session, participants will learn about documentation of MTM services; identification and management of patients with hyperlipidemia, diabetes and hypertension; negotiating health behavior change; pharmacotherapeutic considerations in the elderly; and best practices nationally on MTM. In this full-day session, participants will continue learning about quality improvement techniques and MTM best practices; updates on disease management; and next steps on the MTM pilot. Date: June 12, 2008 NMMRA hosts quarterly Focus On Quality meetings for hospital quality improvement managers which serve as a forum for training, networking, sharing of best practices and information updates. These meetings also foster collective quality improvement activities in New Mexico. NMMRA provides training, networking and continuing education opportunities, at no cost to hospitals in New Mexico, to empower individuals to become change agents for their facilities.
