Hospitals : Public Reporting : QualityNet ExchangeThe QualityNet Web site is the only approved method for electronic transmission of hospital data on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) quality measures to the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Clinical Warehouse, the information repository for the clinical quality-of-care measures collected and submitted by hospitals. My QualityNet registration is required to participate in the Hospital Quality Alliance (HQA), formerly the National Voluntary Hospital Reporting Initiative (NVHRI) and Reporting Hospital Quality Data for Annual Payment Update (APU) Initiative. In addition to allowing your hospital to submit its own data to the QIO Clinical Warehouse, QualityNet also enables you to use your data to support your quality improvement efforts through benchmarking and comparison reports. QualityNet Features and Benefits Include: - Secure and efficient data and document transfer that is compliant with the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Ability to compare data over time
- Access to notifications and reports on submitted data
- Access to the CMS Abstraction and Reporting Tool (CART)
- Access to information about Hospital Data Collection
To register an administrator for QualityNet, you must complete two forms. Download the instructions for completion and submission of these forms: - QualityNet Administrator Authorization Form
- QualityNet Administrator Registration Form
- QualityNet Administrator Instructions
- QualityNet Creating a New User
Once a hospital has a QualityNet administrator, that administrator can add users within the facility. For more information, see also:
