Hospitals : Public Reporting : Vendor AuthorizationsHundreds of hospitals nationwide are submitting data to the QIO Clinical Warehouse, a national data repository created by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This effort will standardize data collection mechanisms to provide hospitals with more useful information to guide their quality improvement efforts. NMMRA recognizes that data are essential to monitor and improve quality of care and will continue to emphasize ongoing data collection as a foundation for quality improvement. As a result of continuing collaboration between CMS and the Joint Commission on the core measures required for clinical quality improvement monitoring are the same for both organizations in most cases. Accredited hospitals may submit data collected on the common Joint Commission/CMS core measures to the national data repository through their approved ORYX Performance Measurement System (PMS).
Download the vendor authorization form [PDF file, opens in new window] to authorize your ORYX vendor to transmit data to the QIO Clinical Data Warehouse on your behalf.
