Improving Nursing Home Quality of Care

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has made nursing home quality a national priority through the Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI). NMMRA, as New Mexico's Quality Improvement Organization (QIO), is committed to helping nursing homes with their quality improvement projects and, positively impacting the quality of care provided to their residents by:

• Offering all New Mexico's nursing homes quality improvement resources, training materials, and educational opportunities
• Partnering with nursing homes on quality improvement projects related to the publicly reported quality measures for New Mexico's nursing homes posted on Nursing Home Compare
• Collaborating with state agencies, health plans, professional and industry associations, and consumer advocacy organizations on projects to improve nursing home quality of care
